The article consists of a summary in Arabic and English, ten headlines and a conclusion. Started with a simple overview about Abu al-Fadl Jaafar bin Ali al-Dimashqi, talking about the period of time and the geographical region which he lived in, his profession and his skills in it, discusses the most important features of that period of time on political, economic and commercial levels. Discussing some ideas of his book (Referring to the goodness of trade and knowing it’s good and bad goods, and the deceitfulness of the fraudulents in it), trying to answer the question: Does Dimashqi deserve to be called father of economics as western thought called Adam Smith?
