Abstract

The article consists of a summary in Arabic and English, ten headlines and a conclusion. Started with a simple overview about Abu al-Fadl Jaafar bin Ali al-Dimashqi, talking about the period of time and the geographical region which he lived in, his profession and his skills in it, discusses the most important features of that period of time on political, economic and commercial levels. Discussing some ideas of his book (Referring to the goodness of trade and knowing it’s good and bad goods, and the deceitfulness of the fraudulents in it), trying to answer the question: Does Dimashqi deserve to be called father of economics as western thought called Adam Smith? That is by presenting the most important ideas presented by Dimashqi in the field of economic thought, commercial transactions and administrative skills. Doing so, it will be such a trying to turn on the light on a person who we would like to gain more attention in the field of economics and commercial sciences. The researcher present the concept of money and its divisions, explaining the principle of specialization (perfection) and job division, referring to what is known as (the necessity of meeting) by Dimashqi, discussing the theory of the need for a mediator (cash) and its entering results trying to adjust the meanings of (price) and (value) and the difference between them, explains the administrative thought and the technical methods which adopted by professional people in buying and selling to what is known as (Control/Check Methods) and (Know-How) by Abu al-Fadl Jaafar bin Ali al-Dimashqi. The article concludes by the most important ideas presented by Dimashqı in the field of commercial life
