Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, bir dönem sokakta yaşamış üç gencin yaşam öyküsü üzerinden, sokakta yaşamaya başlama süreci üzerinde erken dönem anne-çocuk ilişkisinin etkisini Nesne İlişkileri ve Bağlanma Kuramı çerçevesinde anlamaya çalışmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, İstanbul Büyük Şehir Belediyesi Darülaceze Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı hizmet veren İstanbul Gençlik Rehabilitasyon ve Meslek Edindirme Merkezinde kalan üç gencin görüşmeleri, nitel bir desen içinde derinlemesine görüşme tekniklerinden biri olan yaşam öyküsü analizi ile yapılmıştır. Gençlerin demografik bilgileri ise, onlara verilen sosyo-demografik bilgi formu ile öğrenilmiştir. Yapılan görüşmelerin sonucunda, gençlerin sokakta yaşamaya başlama süreçleri üzerinde, onların erken dönem anne-çocuk ilişkilerinin etkisini ortaya koyan bulgular elde edilmiştir. Gençlerin erken dönem anne-çocuk ilişkileri, Nesne İlişkileri ve Bağlanma Kuramı çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiş, onların erken çocukluk döneminde anneleri ile sınırlı ve örseleyici ilişkilerinin olduğu ve bu ilişkilerin onların hayatlarının ilerleyen dönemlerinde yaşadıkları yerleri terk ederek sokakta yaşamaya başlamaları üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca gençlerin yaşam öykülerinden, her üç gencin de işlevsel olmayan aile yapısına sahip oldukları ve çocukluk döneminden itibaren ağır travmalara maruz kaldıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Gençlerin ebeveynleri tarafından maruz kaldıkları örseleyici davranışların, sokakta çalıştırılmalarının ve gençler üzerindeki akran etkisinin, onların sokakta yaşamaya başlama süreçleri üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Gençlerin maruz kaldıkları ağır travmaların, sokakta ve devlet kurumlarında yaşadıkları dönemlerde de devam ettiği ve onların aldıkları hizmet modelleri tarafından da yeterince korunmadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the effects of early period mother-child relationship with regards to Object Relations and Attachment Theory in the process of starting to live in the streets, via three teenagers who have lived in the streets for a while. In this respect, three teenagers staying at İstanbul Youth, Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Center, a subsidary of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directoratre of Almshouse, were interviewed. These interviews were held using one of the qualitative methods, which is biography analysis. The missing personal information about the three young people was gathered by the social-demographic form given at the end of the interviews. At the end of the interviews held with each of the three teenagers, findings which reveal the importance of the relationships that they had with their early period mother on the process of the teenagersstarting to live in the streets were gathered. The teenagersearly period mother-child relationships were discussed with respect to Object Relations and Attachment Theory. It was seen that the teenagers had limited and traumatic relationships with their mothers in their early childhood period and these relationships affected their lives in a negative way. It was seen that these negative impacts had an effect on leaving the places where they had lived and starting to live in the streets. The biographies of the teenagers also revealed the fact that none of these teenagers had functional family structures and they had been exposed to severe traumas since their childhood period. The traumatic behaviours that the teenagers were exposed to by their parents in their childhood period, their starting to work in the streets, the unhealthy peer relationship that they had built was seen to have an effect on the process of teenagersstarting to live in the streets. It was seen that the teenagers kept on having traumas also in the streets and they were not protected well enough by the service models that they were in touch through this process.
