Abstract
Etkinlik turizmi son yıllarda güçlü bir turistik çekicilik haline gelmiş, turizm sektörüne önemli katkılar sağlamıştır. Etkinlik turizmi adı altında yer alan şenliklerin de toplumlar ve destinasyonlar için çeşitli etkileri mevcuttur. Bu sebeple bu araştırmanın amacı, Muğla’da gerçekleştirilen Geleneksel Yörük-Türkmen Şenliği’nin ziyaretçiler üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi ve katılımcıların demografik değişkenlerine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğinin tespit edilmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu kapsamda, 2016 Mayıs ayında dokuzuncusu düzenlenmiş olan Yörük Türkmen Şenliği’ne katılmış 191 katılımcıdan nicel yöntemle veri toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Bunun sonucunda, katılımcıların şenlikten memnun oldukları, şenliğin ziyaretçiler üzerinde oldukça olumlu etkileri bulunduğu ve ifadeler ile demografik değişkenler arasında en fazla farklılık tespit edilen ifadenin, “Şenlik, yerel halka yakınlarını ve arkadaşlarını ağırlama fırsatı sağlar.” ifadesi olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract
Event tourism has become an important tourist attraction recently, and it has made important contributions to the tourism sector. Festivals within the scope of event tourism have various influences on communities and destinations. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the Traditional Nomad-Turkmen Festival which is organized every year in Mugla and to determine whether the effects differ according to visitors’ demographic variables.In this context, in May 2016, data were collected from 191 participants during the ninth festival. The collected data were analyzed by statistical program. As a result, it was seen that the participants were satisfied with the festival, the festival had quite positive effects on the visitors, and the most significant expression was the phrase "The festival provides the opportunity to the local people for hosting their relatives and friends.".
