Abstract

This research was conducted amongst undergraduates whom have recieved professional musical instrument training, to compare and contrast their levels of emotional intelligence and levels of communication skills, as well as to determine if these factors and others play a role in creating a difference. This study was conducted using two hundred, first to final year university students, enrolled in the 2018-2019 academic school year, selected from amongst several Turkish universities and schools of fine arts dealing with music. The results of the research are as follows: There have not been any meaningful statistical findings in the relationship between the communications skills levels points and the emotional intelligence skills points recieved amongst the test group. There has been a statistically meaningful difference found between the subjects taking part in the research relating to the communication skills levels points and the concert experience factor, and subjects with thoughts based on their own individual communication skills. With the subject group that participated in the research, there were statistically meaningful findings in differences between what the subjects felt their emotional intelligence points and their own communication skills points.
