For this purpose, research was designed according to the case study. The study group was determined according to the purposeful sampling method and 79 eighth-grade students participated in the study. The data were obtained by using the "Problem-Posing Form for the Area in the Circle (PPFAC)" and "Opinion Form for Problem-Posing (OFPP)". While the data obtained from PPFAC were analyzed according to the "Problem Classification Diagram (PCD)", the data obtained from OFPP were analyzed descriptively. As a result, it was obtained that the eighth-grade students' problem-posing skills were low. It was determined that the students participating in the study had difficulties in problem-posing.
