THE EFFECT OF CORONAVIRUS ON WORKING HABITS: A STUDY ON ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONALS KORONA VİRÜSÜN ÇALIŞMA ALIŞKANLIKLARI ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ: MUHASEBE MESLEK MENSUPLARINA YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA
Coronavirus that firstly emerged in Vuhan-China and is entitled as covid-19 by World Health Organization (WHO) continues to spread around the world. This study aims the determine effects of coronavirus on working habits of accounting professionals. Within this scope, 9 questions are asked to accounting professionals to determine what type of changes in working habits are observed after coronavirus. In accordance with the aim of study, qualitative research method is preferred. As data collection tool, semi-structured interview form that is prepared by the researcher is used. Data is collected from 26 accounting professionals who accept to get involved in interviews voluntarily. Data is analyzed through Maxqda 2020 Plus qualitative data analysis program. According to the 38.5% of the accounting professionals, working duration is shortened during coronavirus pandemia while %47.8 of the professionals believes that working stres level is increased because of the infection anxiety. Also, %23.1 of the professionals ceased to work in weekend and %15.4 of them started to work at home.
