Abstract

Nature is the system that faces with the most harm because of the revolution industry. When it is thought that we reach at a critical edge, environmental problems are discussed more and more loudly at a global level. Schools and teachers play one of the important roles to eliminate the environmental problems. This study is qualitative in which the opinions of the prospective teachers describe about environmental problems. 37% of the teachers participated in the study claim environmental problems on human beings whereas 33% on all living species. It is seen that 22% of prospective teachers have concious that the environmental problems can spread all over the world. 33% of the prospective teachers illustrate environmental problems with air pollution and changes in climate; 25% with water pollution. 11% of the teachers predicate that the environmental problems have relation with each other and this problems are based on soil pollution.77% of the prospective teachers are pessimistic about the future of environmental problems whereas 22% of them have hopeful desires. The most important environmental problems claimed by the prospective teachers are water pollution 29%, air pollution 22%, soil pollution 14% and the problems about waste materials 11%, respectively.
