Abstract

Aswany who is the author written in the modern Egyptian literature inspired by the facts of the social and political processes through the country, emphasizes the unchanging facts, despite the changing political structe of Egypt after the 1952 Revolution in his novel. The author invites the reader to confront essentially unchanging facts while drawing attention to political and social achievements with the post-revolutionary owners of the Yacoubian Apartment, landowners and foreign capital owners, in the nineties when the Gulf crisis was experienced. The author has influenced the thought structure of the Egyptian Spring. The novel, which tries to build the future with a mark on the past, is considered to be one of the intellectual origin of the Egyptian Spring with the acceleration it has gave to the social movement.
