The names given to the laces hiding in small packing cases and holding deep culture have an important place in Turkish language. The laces turned out to be a window of women opening out and a translator of words that they couldn’t verbalise. They abreacted their anger, happiness, jealousy and many other feelings with laces. During this abreacting process, mountains, hills, flowers, colours and some other objects in their surroundings helped them. Each region reflected their own culture on laces. These handcrafts that came out of were not nameless and they took names in line with their dominant features. In this study, the names given to the laces which are mentioned on the works we compiled and scanned and being used as scarf edge are tried to be classified. 449 lace names are included in this classification. Thus, it has been revealed that how rich a vocabulary exists in Turkish on lace names.},author={Songül ERDOĞAN},year={2020},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
