Comprehending the basis of modernism is an important phase required for understanding the postmodern approach. In this context, it can be said that the modernism’s style of creating the basis of artistic and design activities generates the style of postmodernism to change the modernism. In this article, it was tried to explain chain transformation between the modernism and postmodernism onto various samples in terms of “graphic arts” by emphasizing the reflection patterns of postmodern content on the artistic and design field by taking the theoretical impact of postmodernism on social sciences on the basis of the modernism. At this point, it was tried to analyze in which points the new approaches seen in design studies deviate in terms of content and style compared with the past samples in all its parts. In the examined samples, it was seen that there are works in the reflection pattern of Postmodernism on the graphic arts which use the new opportunities of technology, “interpret the historical references from more different perspectives” and “create a series of new freedom spaces in its own way” by removing the normativeness of modernism.},author={Süleyman ÖZDERİN},year={2019},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
