Abstract

This new movement that arose at the end of 19th century, at the beginning of 20th century and was called as “primitivizm” entered into the field of art after the Universal Exhibitions which drew reaction of many artists in the years 1889, 1897 and 1900. In this Universal Exhibitions there have been activities in which both tribe objects and native people were exhibited. Since the early 1900s , it has attracted the attention of many western astists with its narrative language; thus a new process has started in the works of the artists. The freedom and simplicity of making art in the first state of emotions have offered a more comfortable field to the artist in the face of the stuck rules of western art. The change of primitive art into the art movement of Primitivism is one of the most important proofs that the activist, curative and regenerative, innovative.
