Abstract

The aim of this study is to introduce the opinions of the teachers related to the music education of the highly gifted children at age of primary and secondary education at the “Science and Art Centres”. Within this content the music teachers at the Science and Art Centres in Ankara in 2016- 2017 educational years are the study group of this research. This is a qualitative study on the opinions of the teachers on the music education of the students in the “Art and Sports Activity Unit” of the Science and Art Centres, which were established with the purpose of having the Highly gifted children recognize their own talents and to increase their capacity, An interview form which was prepared by the researchers was used for the study group to gather data. The gathered information analysed with content analyse method. As a result of the study the relation of the music education process to the adaptation (orientation), communication skills, group work techniques, learning methods, problem solving techniques, scientific research techniques, social activities, recognizing the individual skills, developing special skills and Project Production/management was obtained. The results listed under related headings.
