Abstract

This study aims to provide a qualitative description of the attitudes of classroom teaching students enrolled at the course of visual arts teaching towards this course, seeking an answer to the wuestion of what attitudes classroom teacher candidates have towards the visual arts course. The study group consisted of 123 classroom teacher candidates. Data were cllected through the use of "Student Interview Form", as a semi-structured tool for the purposes of the study. The answer provided by the students to each of the interview wuestions were anlyzed through content analysis, transcribed, and data were digitized. Frequency distribution was used for the numerical analysis of the data. The study was tested for validity and reliability by the researcher and three experts. As a result of the research, it was found out that they found that they relieved their concerns and enjoyed the activities. ın the sama way, it is seen that gaining experience about different visual expression techniques, gaining experience in the development of children's paintings and interpreting children's pictures are the most emphasized subjects.
