In this context, Sigmund Freud, Erich Fromm, Heinz Kohut and Karen Horney's views were pointed out. However, Narkissos was mentioned before pointing to the origin of the word narcissism. As is known, Narcissus is a young and handsome young man who fell in love with his own reflection in Ancient Greek mythology. In his poem “Selam” Dıranas glorify the period of narcissistic perfect unity between mother and child. This period is considered as the “golden age” of human life. The most beautiful, best, most beloved for the child in the golden period is the mother who is the first object of love. However, this ”perfect togetherness” ends one day.
