Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine theoretical discussions on security work in international relations. Security is one of the main concepts of the international relations discipline. Thus, many studies have been carried about security out as of the establishment of discipline. Conflict fact in the nature of international relations and brought with it security studies are reshaping with conditions of the period day by day. In addition, the main theories have different approaches to security. At this point, Realism, Liberalism, and attitudes of Copenhagen School towards security studies differ from one to another. Although there are differences of opinion, almost every of the major theories has done safety-related studies. However, no agreed definition has been made on what the concept security means and so the debates on the issue still continues.
