Abstract

As in all instruments, technical dominance is indispensable element of good performance and qualified education in piano playing and education. In this study, opinions of educators about the technical problems related to the piano lesson in the higher education institutions that give professional music education are included. Interview technique was used in the research conducted by qualitative research method. The data were obtained by structured open-ended interview and analyzed with descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research, it was found out that the students who had taken the piano education had a training process misusing the pianistic organs, the students did not show interest in the piano lessons, the instructors had given place exercises and studies to solve the technical problems that the students had experienced, students have the necessary facilities, instructors had used exercises that composers who had set up methods to serve this area throughout the history of piano education in order to strengthen the technique of the students.
