Abstract

The pre-school education, which is the first stage of education, allows child-ren to adapt to school due to the fact that the child leaves the family and en-ters the new environment. For the first time, the child starts school, and then he enters a different environment. For this reason, the conditions in which the child grows in this process are of great importance. The child finds himself in a family environment from the moment he is born. In the early period, an im-portant part of the day is faced with the function of adapting to the school. The aim of the study is to identify the problems encountered by preschool te-achers in the adaptation process to the school and to develop solutions to the-se problems. The data of the study, which was conducted based on the met-hod of qualitative research methods, was realized in 2018-2019 education pe-riod with 15 teachers at Doruk Pre-School in Elazığ center during the adapta-tion week. The data of the study were collected by semi-structured interview form. The semi-structured interview form provided the researchers with an in-sight into the overall flow of the interview, as well as the interactions between the researcher and the additional questions asked. The obtained data, content analysis from qualitative data analysis techniques were used.
