THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONAL CONFIDENCE PERCEPTION AND ORGANIZATIONAL CYNICISM ATTITUDE OF THE WORKING STAFF IN TOURISM BUSINESS

Abstract

In this study, we aimed to determine the relationship between organizational confidence, which expresses the state of provision of belief and support that the working staff have concerning that business owners or managers will be honest and will fulfill their commitments to them; and a negative attitude, organizational cynicism, including cognitive, emotional and behavioral dimensions that working staff develop against his business. For this purpose, a study was conducted on 340 working staff working in 3,4 and 5 star hotels in Northeast Anatolia region. Research and measurement method based on quantitative data was used in the study and questionnaire method was used as data collection tool. Reliability levels of the scales were calculated by the internal consistency method and cronbach alpha credibility measure was used. The validity of the scale was put forth by conducting superficial, convergence, decomposition validity and factor analysis. Once it is determined that there is relationship among variables via the correlation analysis, regression analysis which explains the relationship between variables as a mathematical model was used. Findings obtained show that there is a negative relationship between the organizational confidence perception and the organizational cynicism attitude of working staff.
