Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine organizational ostracism in terms of demographic characteristics. In this context, it is examined whether organizational ostracisim differs according to demographic characteristics (i.e., gender, age, marital status, education and income level, total work experience, duration in current organization, and position). Data were obtained from the sample of the municipality employees who are affiliated to the Bilecik province and its districts. In this context, a total of 236 valid questionnaire forms have been reached. Independent Sample T Test and Anova Test were applied to test whether organizational obstracism differs according to demographic characteristics. According to research findings, organizational obstracism had statistically significant difference according to the employees’ monthly incomes and their evaluation of income level. Participants’ perception of organizational obstracism was relatively low. The research findings were discussed in the discussion section and a number of future research proposals were proposed.
