Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to collect under one roof of some data be able to help researchers who want to work on classical guitar sight reading. The study, which used quantitative research method, screening model was utilized during the collection of data. A questionnaire was used for classical guitar students and their teachers as data collection tool. According to the questionnaire data, the results is reached that students and teachers think classical guitar sight reading is difficult, classical guitar sight reading can be improved, it should be a lesson for classical guitar sight reading in schools that offer vocational music education, they think that students are more dominant in the first 4 frets of the guitar fingerboard than the other frets, there must be melodic exercises in classical guitar sight reading methods, fingerboard description exercises should be take part in the classical guitar sight reading methods, classical guitar methods should have the feature to develop note reading skills.
