In order to establish a healthy policy for the solution of the aforementioned issues, they were presented to the attenton of the members of the Turkish press as well. About the question of Sancak, various foreign media outlets, especially the French press, wrote that Turkish politics was ambitious and passionate and would accept the British and German proposals to control the oil resources; Turkey sought to open negotiations in order to adapt the agreement to the new conditions; Turkey, one of the beneficiaries of this heritage of France, took the third place (with Italy first, and Germany second); it should not be fought against Mustafa Kemal’s Turkey because the politicians of Damascus rejected the true rights of the Sancak Turks; Turkish-French relations would not regain its own balance and dynamism before the question of Sanjak was settled; the entire Muslim world was still oriented towards Turkey; establishing relations of friendship with such a state would be excellent for France's position in the Islamic world. On the issue of Sanjak, like other countries, France also tended to keep Turkey close to itself, adhering to the international law and pursuing antirevisionist and peaceful politics in the conjuncture created by the Italian and German danger that emerged before the Second World War. The question of Sancak was brought to the agenda by the Turkish Government as it was previously set. In the study, the bulletins named “Basılanların Havası” published by the Directorate General of Press under the Interior Ministry were used the basic source as they included articles and news written about Turkey in foreign press; besides, copyrighted and audited works were also used.},author={Yaşar ÖZÜÇETİN-- Hanifi KAYA},year={2018},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
