Abstract

In addition to physical capital, human capital, social capital is among the most important determinants of income level and confidence relationships are the most important component of social capital. In this context, in this study; the relationship between social capital and income has been analyzed by using results of 2011 World Values Survey in Turkey. In this study, Multinominal Logistic Regression Analysis is applied. The independent variables of the model are cofidence in the army, confidence in the police, confidence in the press, confidence in the parlamento, confidence in the government and confidence in the courts while the dependent of the model is the household income. The only variable that is statistically significant is the confidence in the army variable. If, results of obtained evaluate, we can conclude social capital have no effect on icome level.
