Abstract

In order to increase the quality in education system, the art education must take its place in primary schools’ course programmes. An art programme is essential for the individuals to improve themselves socially and culturally, and to gain self-esteem while expressing their thoughts. Based on visual perception art education is a system where individuals have the oppurtunity to ideally explain themselves with a developed aesthetic attitude and to set a mental connection between material and creativity. Art education reveals the people’s sensitivities. In many developed countries art education is considered as an indispensible tool to raise the modern individual and they placed art in their education programmes. Thus, indviduals who wish to execute art as a profession are selected in their early years and the other ones who do not want to take this as a profession are directed to appreciate art in daily life; this is important in terms of preparing the future art buyers. In this sense, in every stage of primary schools, art education, especially ceramic education must be placed to the programme. In the future, in choosing the university education, more conscious students with artistic creativity will be interested in related at fields. Individuals with high self-esteem who aims to change their environment will be raised. The necessity of ceramic art education is an approved system in the development of civilisation. Individuals with a good ceramic art education, have a character that accepts themselves and other ones’ talents honestly. In this respect, our art education programme should be reviewed and cerami art education must be placed to the programme beginning from the pre-school period to every stage of primary schools.
