Abstract

In this study, the relationship between perceived stress and aggressiveness in 112 emergency he-alth care workers was investigated. The relationship between age, aggression and perceived stress and demographic variables such as gender, education level, marital status, occupation, study duration are also examined. The example of the research is T.C. The Ministry of Health Emergency Health Services General Directorate has created 427 employees working in Istanbul Emergency Health Services Stati-ons of İstanbul 112 Provincial Ambulance Service Headquarters and Istanbul National Medical Rescue Team who are providing emergency medical services as provincial units in Istanbul province. The Per-ceived Stress Scale and Aggression Scale were used as data collection tools. Two separate stepwise regression analyzes were performed to determine the contribution of de-mographic variables to the predictions of aggression and perceived stress level. The results of the analysis of perceived stress level showed that only a significant contribution of study duration was predicted to the perceived stress level. The results of the analysis of aggressiveness revealed that gen-der, level of education and duration of study contributed significantly to the level of aggression. However, statistically significant, the study period revealed only a small part of the perceived stress level, gender, level of education, and variance in the aggression of the study duration.
