Abstract

This research aims to investigate teacher self-efficacy belief of university instructors working at vocational schools of Kirklareli University according to gender, service year, vocational school variables. General survey method was used in the research. The sampling of the research is 127 instructors working at vocational schools of Kirklareli University in the spring semester of 2017-18 academic year. In the research, “Teacher Self-efficacy Scale” by Çolak, Yorulmaz & Altınkurt (2017) was used whose Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient is .93. SPSS 22 software was used to analyze the data and to perform independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, Bonferroni test, size effect analysis. Results show that, teacher self-efficacy belief of university instructors working at vocational schools of Kirklareli University is high. A statistically meaningful difference was found when university instructors’ teacher self-efficacy belief was analyzed in relation to vocational school variable whereas no meaningful difference was found for gender and service year variables.
