Descriptive analysis of qualitative research methods has been used, a literature review has been made about the subject and there search is limited with the accessible sources of those. The vibrato has been identified, its formation, development and fluctation has been tried to explain by separating the minto centuries by schools of those periods. Arguments of some of the great musicians has found a place about the concept of the flute vibrato as well. In this context, several vibrato production techniques such as finger, jaw-lip and breathe has been scrutinised. Divergencies about the vibrato’s definition, classification and vocalisation has been examined and period-spesific trends been emphasized.
