Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal whether the use of 21st century teacher skills by teachers from different branches working in primary education institutions in different provinces of Turkey differs or not according to various demographic variables. 364 teachers working in primary schools in different provinces of Turkey in 2017-2018 academic year composed the participants of this research which was carried out according to one of the general survey models, the comparative survey model. To reveal primary school teachers’ 21st century teacher skills use qualifications, “21st Century Teacher Skills Use Scale” developed by Orhan-Göksün (2016), and to detect demographic information “Personal Information Form” developed by researchers was used. In the research, primary school teachers’ 21st century teacher skills use was investigated according to the variables such as “gender”, “year of service”, “the faculty graduated”, “the institution” and differences were spotted. Findings obtained from the research are expected to contribute to the literature on teacher qualifications and teachers training systems.
