Abstract

Mythology is one of the most inportant sources of the literature. Every society headed by great civilization possesses inherent mythology. Affection and companionship and mutual influence between the Turks and the İranians has a history which counts for cenrturies. As the two neighbouring countries of these two nations through history influenced to each other in terms of language, literature and culture. Although it's known that this mutual influence began much aerlier, from the beginning of the reign the Sultan of Turkish origin in their territory and after acceptance of Islam by the Iranians during the Gazneli and Seljuq, that the mutual influence is even more increased. Because of this mutal influence, there'a been a cultural/literary exchange which had for the consequence that Turkish-İranian unification elements got a common character. One of these elements, without a doubt are mythological and legendary personalities from İranian literature. Although there ara a lof of Iranian writers and poets who have used these elements, Firdowsi's Shahnameh relinquished a large part of the place to legendary and mythological personalities. İn this article, we are going to show in which way are mythological and legendary personalities from Iranian literature included in the Divan of Bosnian Aleaddin Sabit.
