THE LEADING CHARACTER OF THE KAZAK LITERATURE ABAY (IBRAHIM) KUNANBAYEV (1845-1904) KAZAK EDEBİYATI’NIN ÖNDE GELEN ŞAHSİYETİ ABAY (İBRAHİM) KUNANBAYEV (1845-1904)
In this article, Abay’s, who were counted among the founders of the Kazak literature that lived between 1845-1904, life and the period in which he lived is approached in a wide frame. In this study, it is also stated that the Kazakh people living at that time were persecuted and tortured, and exposed to great difficulties such as hunger and diseases. Abay was deeply influenced by these events as well as the Kazakh people. Many Kazakh intellectuals, especially Abay, have succeeded in reviving this nation who were brought to the brink of destruction. In addition, in the article, Abay's literary personality and those who are influential in the formation of this literary figure are also emphasized. E.P. Mihaelis and S.S. Gross, the Russian democrats living in exile in Kazakhstan, were among the most influential characters in the life of Abay. Finally, in the article, Abay's poetical and prosaic works are emphasized. The most important issue for Abay was the human and the education of people in the most beautiful way. For this reason, the basic theme of Abay's works is human.
