When describing a person, Yakup Kadri handles it according to the conditions of time and space. Hüküm Gecesi is third novel of Yakup Kadri. The novel, published in 1927, tells political and social developments in Ottoman Empire between 1908 and 1911, and the press life of period with the events happened around opposite journalist Ahmet Kerim. Besides it’s based on author’s memories and observations, real people take part in person staff in addition fictional characters and it is a mirror which reflects the period, Hüküm Gecesi is also important in terms of reflecting the effect of space on human.
