Abstract

It is the natural beauties, historical heritage and social-cultural life that distinguish cities from each other and make them unique. These features give cities a rich identity and a strong urban image. But our world changes from past to present depending on various reasons (technological developments, rapid population growth, etc.). This leads to the disappearance of these features which make the cities different from each other and the creation of similar cities. These negativities cause cities to lose the identity of the city, the image of people leaving their mind, and the alienation of people from their surroundings, neighborhoods and cities. Urban identity is changing in the negative (changes in appearance, changes in activities) in cities, people are weak in relation to the environment, which reduces the sense of ownership and loyalty of people's cities.
