Abstract

Women’s appearing contentedly in the world of literature and producing texts qualified as competing men’s, who have been in this sphere for a long time, have brought up two significant polemics. Literary men’s addressing literary women as woman author to otherise them and, literary women’s putting forward woman sensibility expression in order to act superior to literary men, have brought about two big quarrels that they cannot agree with easily. In this article, different viewpoints will be added to aforementioned two polemics via referring İsmet Kür, Peride Celâl, Adalet Ağaoğlu, Leyla Erbil, Gülten Akın, Selçuk Baran, Gülten Dayıoğlu, Güner Ener, Afet Ilgaz, Ayla Kutlu, Emine Işınsu, Nursel Duruel, Tomris Uyar, Sabahat Emir, Sevinç Çokum, İnci Aral, Erendiz Atasü, Feyza Hepçilingirler, Işıl Özgentürk, Feride Çiçekoğlu, Ayşe Kilimci, Jale Sancak, Yıldız Ramazanoğlu and Elif Şafak’s views about the issue.
