Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify qualitatively, the reasons for participation in life-long learning activities of older adults in the United States. For this purpose, the study sample has been created as 20 adults who are participants of OSHER Life Long Learning Center, West Virginia, United States. The data of the study were collected by means of a data acquisition form, which was designed by the researcher. In this form, there are four basic questions related to sub-objectives of the research, and also some drilling questions which are designed to obtain more detailed information about these questions. In the analysis of the obtained data, descriptive analysis and content analysis techniques of qualitative analysis were used.
