Abstract

This study aims to examine the opinions of the disabled university students and disabled personnel regarding. This study, a descriptive study, has used the semi-structured interview technique, a qualitative research technique. 10 disabled university students and 10 disabled personnel were interviewed face-to-face. NVivo program was used for the purpose of analysis of the findings reflecting the opinions of the disabled students and personnel in a detailed and holistic way. The opinions were described under 40 categories, 10 sub-themes and 3 main themes. The data regarding the disabled students and personnel were described under three main themes: “The period before getting into the school/ professional life”, “Starting process of school/professional life” and “The period after getting into the school/professional life”. The findings of this study conducted based on the opinions of the disabled students and disabled personnel are thought to be able to contribute to the development of solution suggestions and to the regulations which will be submitted to enable full participation of the disabled people in education and professional life by determining the problems of disabled students and personnel.
