The aim of this study is to contribute to determine the factors that influence the innovation performance of the countries. To achieve this aim, the binary logistics regression analysis was applied by using European Innovation Scoreboard-2016 (EIS) data. A total of 32 countries including 28 EU member countries with Turkey, Norway, Serbia and Switzerland have been included in the analysis. A total of 27 variables together with the categorical dependent variable were used in the empirical analysis and were conducted the eight different models. The findings obtained from the result of the analysis show that especially R&D investments, human capital and innovations made by SMEs are the factors that influencing the innovation performance of the countries.
