Abstract

This article is about investigating how the cinematographic stories, as way of narration, are structured and, in terms of dramaturgy, what all these choices made for this structure corresponds to. Dramaturgy, for structuring a narration, is planning information of how the elements of narration are selected and how they will be referred to. In this context, story depends on the resolution of narration works and hence the operational logic is very pragmatic. The question and the answers to “how possible is to narrate a story in a most efficient and intensive way” constitutes the basic of dramaturgy. The cinematographic stories, being also forms of dramatic narrations, are aesthetic creations based upon the selection and practice of numerous visual and auditory elements. Cinematographic dramaturgy, in this sense, is a field of study, which covers qualifications intended to technical and aesthetic setup of visual and auditory narration elements considered in dramatic structuring of films. This article examines the film of Zeki Demirkubuz named “Kor” as a resolution element and tries to reach an integrated sample by interpreting the gathered information.
