Abstract

The study aims to determine the level of the perceived quality of work life of the vocational high school teachers working in the vocational high schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education in the district of Bağcılar, Istanbul and whether such perception varies depending on different variables. The study was designed using survey model. The study was conducted on 307 teachers working at vocational high schools in the districts of Bağcılar, Istanbul in the school year of 2014-2015. “Scale of Quality of Work Life” was used as data collection tool in the study. The results of the study are as follows: The arithmetic mean of total score obtained from the scale of quality of work life showed that the general perceived quality of work life of teachers working vocational high schools is “moderate”. It is determined that there is a meaningful difference only in terms of marital status change.
