Abstract

Despite the social problems experienced with the industrial revolution and transformation occurring in the West with the urbanization process development together with development of living than Turkey has shown a different development. Especially in the last two decades, globalization, driven by improvements in transport and telecommunications, and the positive political climate with unprecedented levels of urbanization and has created a global economy characterized by ever faster and larger cities. An underdeveloped community in cities as centers attracting a significant population pressure and migration is encountered. The majority of the urban population growth for developing the show with industrialization urbanization level in the society has been employed in the service sector. Regional differences in concentrations increase with urbanization and industrialization, especially in certain regions has led to excessive growth of the city. Socio-economically in urban areas do not have the necessary infrastructure and know-how have been faced with significant challenges experienced migration. Especially in urban housing problems experienced as a result of the rapid urbanization squatters, it has brought problems such as the inability to meet urban needs. This study focuses on the concept of urbanization adopted in development plans and reveals the change in urbanization in terms of development plans.
