Abstract

In this study, it is examined whether there is any difference in gender perception level according to the religiousness tendency of university students. Although discussion of gender as a problem is a recent issue, the overwhelming interest of academics on it has led to a dramatic increase in literatüre. The heterosexual structure of the sex was deconstructed in postmodern period. Thus, besides sex all concepts related with the relationship between men and women were questioned and they were all regarded as fictitious by relating them to cultural concepts. Gender was redefined as a consept that is constructable and open to the intervention of the society. The gender debates that come to the fore as a feminist rhetoric suggest that women can not be restricted to certain abilities.
