Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the views of the students of the education faculty and graduated of the faculty of education faculties on the interview application to teacher appointments. The research is qualitative study and its model is case study. The study group is composed of five students from the Faculty of Education who are student at the last grade 2016-2017 academic year at Cumhuriyet University and five teachers who have graduated in 2016 from the Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Education but have not been assigned. The data collection tool is a semi-structured interview form. In this case study, the study was analyzed with descriptive analysis. Interviewing teacher candidates negatively affects their psychological, sociological, self-esteem and professional expectations. While prospective teachers who are graduated are adversely affected in term of economics, senior students are not exposed to such an effect. The interview application reflected all of dimensions.
