Abstract

Institutions and organizations that show organizational structure are confronted as social structures that come together for a certain purpose. Academicians have an important place in these structures. The aim of researching this thought, examination of organizational cynicism levels of academic personnel working in higher education institutions that provide sports education. Working group of the study consists of 315 (246 male, 69 female) academicians working in higher education institutions and providing sports education. In the study, “Organizational Cynicism Scale” developed by Brandes, Dharwadkar and Dean (1999), adapted to Turkish by Kalağan (2009), with "Personal Information Form" created by the researchers was used. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test for independent two groups and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). As a result of research, when the marital status variable was examined, statistically difference was found between married and unmarried academics.
