Abstract

The relations between Turkey and Hungary started to develop after Ataturk founded the Republic of Turkey. The fact that there is a close relationship between Turks and Hungarians in history has led both countries to always act positively towards each other. After the proclamation of the Republic, good relations were established with Hungary in the direction of Ataturk's foreign policy, "Peace at home, peace in the world". The Hungarians also followed the National Struggle under the leadership of Atatürk with admiration and respect for the Turkish Nation. The Turks also sympathized with the Hungarians. The statesmen of both countries also played an important role in the development of the relations between the two countries. Ataturk gave importance to relations between Hungary and Turkey, and he chose the ambassadors from the people he trusted. As a result, the relations between Turkey and Hungary were changed during the period of Atatürk, between 1923 and 1938, Many subfields showed improvement. Relations between the two countries in this period constituted the basis of today's Turkey-Hungary relations.
