Abstract

As all reforms, even Turkish Reform has a woman plan. This plan is a vital piece of the imagination of civilization. The socio- cultural transformation which was realized by Turkish reforms changed Turkish women to a social entity. However, this transformation was applied by a fallacy and a dilemma which was formed around the new and the old- the modern and the conservative. This work is an endeavor to understand the lives which were changed by the reform, the standardization of women and the proprieties, the qualitative transformation of republican women. For this aim, we searched the books which were written about the rules of social behaviors. Our objective was to decipher the imagination of women of the monist and elitist mentality; to draw the picture of surrender of privacy to publicity, the tradition to modernity; to evaluate the Turkish reform from the view of women. The books about the rules of social behaviors are the basis of the research. At the same time, we referred to the modern sources and realized a panoramic and an original analysıs. In this connection, a qualitative style, data and document scanning, analytical analysis, sample event researches were made.
