In line with this purpose, 707 headline contents of high circulation newspapers of that period; Akşam, Cumhuriyet, Tan and Ulus were analyzed. The data obtained on the basis of the analysis were subjected to the Chi-square test. Findings from analysis and tests; Shows that the developments of the period were transmitted from the newspapers without any limitation, however, the issues that the newspapers have shown sensitivity vary. In this context it was observed that relatively Akşam shows sensitivity to the developments in the war, Cumhuriyet shows sensitivity to diplomatic developments, Tan shows sensitivity to problematic issues and Ulus shows sensitivity to the domestic agenda and the president than the others.
