Aim of this study is to draw a general framework for workplace conflict. In this context, the general subject matters of conflict in workplace, perceptions about conflict, the conflict handling strategies used when dealing with conflicts with superiors, peers and subordinates, emotions experienced at the time of and after the conflict, whether going to third parties for conflict resolution is preferred and the factors that contribute to positive and negative conflict processess are investigated through the data gathered with semi-structured interviews from 10 participants. First of all, definitions and the historical development of conflict, task and relationship conflict, constructive and destructive conflict, conflict handling strategies and the role of third parties in conflict process are mentioned in the literature survey. Demographic information, research questions and procedure are explained in the method section. Results are presented at the findings sections while summary of the findings in reference to previous research are presented at the conclusion and discussion section. Implications for future studies are also discussed.
