COMPARATIVE BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF TOURISM MARKETING ARTICLES PUBLISHED INTERNATIONALLY AND IN TURKEY

Abstract

In this research, tourism-marketing-related artiles scanned in SSCI and ULAKBIM (Turkish National Academic Network And Information Center) since 2011 are examined. Accordingly, five top-tier tourism journals from SSCI and five refereed journals from ULABIM are chosen. Totally 2677 tourism related articles, containing 253 in Turkey (Turkish) and 2424 international, are analised. It is seen that 63 (%25) of 253 tourism articles are tourism marketing related in journals in Turkey while it is seen 1081 (%45) of 2424 in international ones. 1144 tourism marketing related articles are categorized for authors, countries, subjects and compared in terms of their authorship and subjects.
