Abstract

In our country, many changes have been observed in the course of the history pertaining the activities of the vocational and technical education that is being implemented. One of these is; the transferring with no exam system, which is being implemented between the years of 2002-2017. With this system, the students, who graduated from vocational high schools may transfer to the higher vocational schools, relevant to their own field. The implemented, transferring with no-exam system, had effected the education-teaching activities, in the vocational schools at various levels. Perhaps one of the most important effects is, that the perception of the academically insufficient students, by transferring to the higher vocational schools directly, would be decreasing the level and the quality of the education which was being given in these institutions. Completion of this work is being viewed important in terms of providing the realistic visualization of the effect of the transfer with no exam system on the academic success in higher vocational schools. By the work, it has been aimed to compare the academic successes of those who transferred to the higher vocational schools with the exam score and the academic successes of those who transferred to these schools with no-exam. At the end of the research; the student who came to higher vocational school with no exam have been found less successful in comparison to those who came to this school with the exam score.
