Abstract

In recent years, tourism events in Turkey have begun to make the importance felt even more which are growing very rapidly. In this development process, tourist guides’ support is huge on the country’s tourism success. Today, tourist guides are one of the essential dynamics in the industry. Therefore, tourism and guidance training is a serious and delicate issue in order to train qualified tourist guide who can represent our country and can present it well with his/her knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors by providing the visitors positive impressions as well as satisfactory return to their countries. A study has been conducted to determine how the quality of higher education service is evaluated by tourist guiding students studying at three higher education institutions with Skal Award and also teach tourist guide training at a bachelor degree. Survey technique has been used in the research. The obtained data has been subjected to statistical analysis. As a result of research; it has been determined that tourism guidance students satisfy with above the middle level of service quality of the higher education institutions that they have studied.
