Abstract

This paper examines the effect of exchange rate volalitily, relative export price and importer countries’ GDP fluctuations on Turkey’s exports to some selected European Union countries,Germany, France, England,, Spain and Italy. The study uses panel data method and employs quarterly data between 1999-2015 of export, price and exchange rate quarterly data between 2002-2015. Findings suggest that high volalitily in Dolar and Euro Exchange rate decreases Turkey’s total export to these countries or vice versa. Similarly, during high volalitily periods, total exports of manufacturing industry and agricultural sectors tend to decrease. Low Exchange rate volalitily helps these sectors export more. During periods where Turkey’s export prices are lower than World Average Export Prices, total export of Turkey goes up, so do exports of sectors. Increase of Importer Contries’ GDP boosts Turkey’s export to these countries
