Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between depression, burnout and life quality levels of healthcare personnels'. Sample group of this study is composed of 200 healthcare personnel, grouped as 135 female and 65 male; who are working at various hospitals at Uskudar or Kadikoy districts of Istanbul. Demographic Information Form, Beck Depression Inventory, Maslach Burnout Inventory, the World Health Organization's Quality of Life Questionnaire are applied as a survey to the participants. According to the correlation analysis results; highness of depression and burnout levels effects life quality negatively. Work by shifts increases personnels' depression and burnout scores furthermore it decreases life quality scores. Nurses have high depression and burnout scores they also have the lowest scores at life quality.
